Maher has begun the sorting stage.
He likes to divide up everything and sort it, mostly his snacks. I have found his stacking cups with goldfish, his stacking barrels with fruit snacks, and even his activity table flipped over with pieces of a cereal bar in each of the cup shaped legs of the table. Perhaps I should reinstate the snacks at the table only rule?! The other day Maher however Maher surprised us, instead of sorting his snacks around random parts of the house he did something rather clever. He took five of his colored stacking cups and his five shapes from a toy and stacked the corresponding shape color to the stacking cup. At first we weren't sure if we had seen it correctly so we asked Maher, "Did you stack these?" He responded with "Yeah" So we asked him to show us:

| Here's purple |

| The blue star |
 |
| Orange, goes closest to red (we did help him later find he purple and orange stacking cups) |
 |
| See the orange? |

And in case you don't believe us that Maher did stack these on his own:
